Sears battery vent

Postby Sportbiker » Fri Dec 05, 2014 8:24 pm

This is just a place to dump my anger :hand:

<soapbox> If you offer a f'n warranty on something and it fails within that f'n warranty period, DO NOT ask me to pay you ANYTHING for the replacement. Even worse, DO NOT argue with me about it. WTF is wrong with you?! Go f yourself!</soapbox>

Cheap batteries have only prorated (if any) warranty. Nicer batteries have full replacement for 24+mos and then prorated after that (sometimes). I bought the latter.

Interestingly, the shop guy said they lose money on all their battery warranty claims except Platinum (which I had). That means the internal supplier (DieHard, subsidiary of Sears Holding) is charging more than the retail division.
