Seeking Insight.

Postby raycecar50 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 1:04 pm

Saturday I wanted to take the Gsxr750 for a romp through the country side after a week of sitting. I hit the starter and it idled on 3 cylinders. Then it slowly choked itself out. I thumbed the starter a few more times and it would not refire. I got kind of worried but hit the starter again while giving it some go-go juice. It popped off. shot a 2 foot flame and a nice cloud of black smoke. It did this 3 or 4 more times while just bumping the throttle. About the 5th time it settled into a nice smooth purr on all 4. I let it warm up and she ran fine for the 15 minutes I was out. Do i have an injector that is dripping and causing one cylinder to load up? Anybody have any ideas? Ill check on it again this Saturday when i get back to Dewitt to the bike.

Might be worth checking your spark plugs before you go down the fuel route.
With enough profanity, you can accomplish anything.
