Broken Bolt Extraction

Postby GixxerSixxer » Thu Jul 05, 2012 6:34 pm

I broke one of the bolts that holds the intake funnels to my throttle bodies. The torque specification in the owner's manual is clearly wrong as I was using my torque wrench set at the spec (31 ft/lbs).

I don't have a bolt extraction kit and have never done it. If anyone has a kit and experience doing it, I'd be willing to throw some bucks your way if you come out and take care of it for me. I'm in Milan.

Shoot me a PM if interested.

Nevermind. I got it out. All it took was a bunch of swear words, a cut on the back of my hand, and a $30 extraction set.
