2012>> MotoGP World Championship Schedule

Postby L8Braker » Wed Sep 14, 2011 2:32 pm

Indy signed another 3 year contract through 2014. :banana-dance: We should be picking up a 3rd GP in Texas in 2013. :banana-dance: :banana-dance: So it appears that at least for 2 years we will have 3 GP races here in the good ole U.S.A. :banana-dance: :banana-dance: :banana-dance:

The rules are also changing next year to allow 1000CC engines, and there will be many more teams, bikes and riders on the grid than ever before in recent history. If you have never made it to a GP race, there is no better time than 2012 to make it out. Start making your plans now. :fact:

We always head over early Thursday morning and make a long weekend of it. If you need help getting tickets, good seats, hotels or anything else, don't hesitate to ask. Hope to see you there.

Should be interesting to see what happens with Germany with Sachsenring saying they don't want to host it again because they've been hemorrhaging money on the event for the last few years. Talk has been that it's going to move to the Nurburgring GP Circuit or Lausitzring. Personally, I haven't been all that impressed with the racing at Nurburgring in WSBK, so I'd rather see them give Lausitzring a shot.

It doesn't look like much of anything changed since September

Apr 8 - Losail Circuit | Qatar [night race]
Apr 29 - Jerez | Spain
May 6 - Estoril | Portugal
May 20 - Le Mans | France
Jun 3 - Circuit de Catalunya | Catalunya
Jun 17 - Silverstone | Great Britain
Jun 30 - Assen | Netherlands [Saturday race]
Jul 8 - Sachsenring | Germany
Jul 15 - Mugello | Italy
Jul 29 - Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca | United States [MotoGP class only]
Aug 19 - Indianapolis Motor Speedway | Indianapolis
Aug 26 - Automotodrom Brno | Czech Republic
Sep 16 - Misano | San Marino
Sep 30 - Motorland Aragon | Aragon
Oct 14 - Motegi | Japan
Oct 21 - Sepang Circuit | Malaysia
Oct 28 - Phillip Island | Australia
Nov 11 - Comunitat Valenciana | Valencia

I'm honestly a little surprised Sachsenring is still hosting the German round, but other than that it looks like it did in September.

Both MotoGP and WSBK races are also marked on our calendar.

The wife and I annually hit the Indy MotoGP. Used to live an hour north of Indy and its hard to justify us not going with free lodging up in West Lafayette, Kokomo, and Indy suburbs :banana-dance:

If some kind of social thing is setup bump me (IM, email, whatever) so we can figure out if it'll fit into schedule. Typically our nights are spent in WL with old friends and colleagues and drinking at 9 Irish Brothers. We do Thurs. to Sun.

Sadly, we've never ridden there. Not by my choice.... :argue:

Post an artistic picture where your bike takes up 5% of the area.

We don't have an official get-together or anything, but a few of us get together, do some riding and go out for supper in the evenings. We're also downtown on Meridian St. every Friday and Saturday night.
