Speeding/red light cameras

Postby twistyrider » Mon Dec 24, 2018 9:57 am

For the unaware..watch out for speed cameras in muscatine iowa. I recieved 2 speeding tickets in the mail from muscatine police department from 2 seperate cameras. Both cameras were on park avenue east of highway 61.

Don't go more than 10mph over the posted speed limit and you'll avoid a ticket. The camera's are set to capture at 11mph over, so there is a bit of wiggle room if you don't go nuts.

You're welcome! They mailed residents of Muscatine a letter that talked about the speed cameras when they were installed, even said the exact MPH that it started sending out tickets. Makes it pretty frustrating too knowing that. I breeze through all the cameras at 7-8mph over at least twice a day going to work and back, and people slowing down to UNDER the speed limit has been quite annoying for years.
