Kawi 636 Armour Bodies Free to Forum Member

I have an upper/mids fairing plus a tail/seat under I got for my '05 636 some time ago. Painted John Deere Yellow, some damage to the tail which is reparable. I'll leave this up here for free to any forum member who was registered before the date of this post, then move it over to Craigslist and Chi...

Re: 2017 midwest area trackday schedules

I take that back. I'd prefer to do the Motovid date at RA instead of the late June one with STT but need to work out other events before knowing. Got my boss's and hosts' approval so I'll be in for the July 10 date at Road America with Motovid. Likely to do the double session thing FWIW. Sportbiker...

Re: Track Intro

I have an undersuit by RS Taichi that I use. My suit actually comes with one, too, but I don't care for all the velcro of getting it on off so end up wearing both at the same time. I always wear UA at the track for sweat management; cold gear in those cold mornings shifting to heat gear in the after...

Re: What did you do to your bike today?

Have wondered about getting rid of the emissions stuff but never did it. Block off plates to, right?

When I rebuilt my calipers I used a cheap fluid to do initial flush, then flushed that with Motul over a two day period. Worked well to ensure all the air was out.

Nize. So the bodywork was repainted? I had the same color and always liked the flames on the 06s.

Have always loved the looks of those bikes. In white is just gorgeous, like owning a red Ducati.

I owned it's twin sister, an 05 636, for 9 years and tracked it very often. Will be interested in your take on what you like and what you don't assuming you have something to compare it to.

Edit:. Oh yeah, welcome to QCSB!

Re: What did you do to your bike today?

Started cleaning the front calipers, which proved to be incredibly heavily caked in grime, and then figured out that one of the pistons in each caliper wasn't moving terribly freely. So now I'm waiting on new seals so I can do caliper rebuilds. The outer seal in each was full of nasty gunk, and the...
