Race Fuel - Where to buy

Postby Apex_It » Wed Sep 07, 2016 11:25 am

Where do you guys get your race gas? I know Winners Circle has a handful of VP fuels available, but are there any other locations that sell it or a pump available?

Looking for 100 octane unleaded.

I don't run race gas, but if I were to do that, I'd order VP cans from one of the trackside vendors at the event (though I'd call ahead to order what I wanted). A lot of tracks have stuff like 100 unleaded on pump though, typically either VP or Sunoco where I've seen it.

My race bike gets regular pump gas, 91 or 93 octane unleaded with no ethanol.

Ok, unfortunately I'm in a time crunch. It's for my car for a 1/2 Mile drag event on the 17th. They have Torco on site, but I was on vacation and missed the order window. Maybe I'll pick something up at Winners Circle. Thanks!

Ended up just grabbing a can of Sunoco 104 from Winners Circle on the way out of the QC Area. Turned out to be a HOT day, glad I had it on hand.

Thanks guys!

How'd the event go?

Great! Car ran great and had no issues all day. Most of the races were just random and just ran whoever we happened to line up with. I did set up a race with a new C7 ZO6, which I've really wanted to run head to head for a while now. Wanted to find a stock Hellcat, and set up a run against one. But it ended up being one of the highest horsepower cars at the event with about 1200hp crank. Waiting for that video from my friend yet, but it's a good one! He absolutely destroyed us once he got traction. Annihilation. He played it off like not much was done, then rolled up to the line, smiled, and started purging his nitrous. We all had a good laugh afterward, cool guy. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Some videos if anyone is interested in straight line car stuff.
